Social Responsibility
During 2007, our engagement in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility, as a way to give additional contribution to the development of our environment, has continued through cooperation with the non-governmental sector and via direct support to humanitarian projects and projects supporting art, science, education etc.
Our experience shows that Social Responsibility is not a privilege only of large and multinational companies, but on the
contrary, a genuine opportunity for each of us to make his own contribution for better society for everyone. The aid to the society is not regarded as small or big, as long as it is sincere and good-willing.
Our involvement in the UN Global Compact initiative resulted with membership in the recently established National Coordinative Body for Corporate Social Responsibility in the Economic-Social Council of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, whereas Mr. Goran Lazarevski, Chief Operating Officer of AD EuroComputer Systems has been elected as the first President on this body, which is special recognition for us.
During the next period we shall continue with activities in this field and we believe that our example will encourage more companies to take active participation, in accordance with their possibilities.
WE HELP THOSE WHO NEED IT THE MOST
AD EuroComputer Systems-ECS Skopje is trying to drive its own business success towards helping the vulnarable catagerories of our society. Heading in this direction, in the past couple of months we have helped four institutions which needed this help the most:
Intermunicipal Center for Social Care of the municipalities of Skopje
For the needs of the Center, we completely renovated and furnished a monitoring room in which the personnel of the Center, in an agreeable and friendly environment for relaxation of the children, monitor the communication of the children with their parents or custodians, depending on the circumstances.
The room which previously was not used at all, was
completely redecorated and equiped with toys, computer
and audio/video center, as well as with space for
sitting and talking with the adults. The room is being
actively used from the very first day we handed over to the
Center.
School for children and youth with damaged eyesight “ Dimitar Vlahov” - Skopje
Because of the specific needs of the children with damaged eyesight who are educated in this institution with great tradition and success in this filed, we have accepted their proposal to provide entire partner arrangement of the square where children would spend their free time.
The high level of damage of the schoolyard very often was the cause for serious accidents and injuries of the children.
Together with the donation recipient we designed an initial project and we completely realized the donation by providing the building materials, mounting of the equipment and complete arrangement of the schoolyard.
To our great pleasure, once the deserted and dangerous schoolyard today is a beautiful meeting point for pupils who come from all over the country.
High school for children with obstacles in the development “St. Naum Ohridski” - Skopje, and the Center for rehabilitation and education of the children with obstacles in the development “Iskra” - Stip
The key difficulty these two institutions had been facing was the lack of a specific teaching material and books for the school library.
This was the reason why we had accepted their proposal to provide contemporary teaching materials and books which helped improve the current situation and would enable normal functioning of the teaching personnel.
The new teaching materials, devices and the contemporary book fund were immediately put into operation.
The children-pupils in these institutions showed enormous gratitude for our support, which for us is the best recognition and reward.
All the activities mentioned above were successfully realized with carefully chosen donation recipients in order to achieve complete usage and accomplishment of our efforts.
These institutions which work the noblest work of helping children with obstacles in their development, damaged eyesight and hearing, as well as children without parental care have the need for support which can be given in modest proportions by the business community in Macedonia.
This is the reason why we encourage you to help these and other institutions with similar projects in their noble and human mission.

In cooperation with biggest Macedonian companies FON Uniersity started the campaign:

Our goal is the best students from Macedonia to stay in our country.
Therefore we award 50 scholarships for the best 50 graduates.
We are looking for the best from the best.
It’s a big satisfaction for ECS, as a Social Responsibility Company to support this project with aim to build educated, advanced and qualified Young, which will face with the challenges and will make Macedonia wonderful place for living.
